Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as old boleros. They also played classic romantic ballads, as well as traditional ranchero. Ana has a passion for opera, tangos and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning to sing as well as play musical instruments as a child with her mother. The singer received more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. After 2000, she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she re-located to her new home in Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a teacher and musician she's committed to numerous community projects because of her passion as well as a love of music. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her love and passion of classic Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations for keeping the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
